RCCG House Fellowship Leader Manual 8 May 2022, Lesson 36 ~ Remembering The Missionaries In Prayers
TOPIC: Remembering The Missionaries In Prayers (Scroll down for RCCG House Fellowship 8 May 2022 Anthem)
OPENING PRAYER: Father, please help me to remember the missionaries in my prayers.
PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leaders should ask members why we believers or Christians don’t have passion for soul winning.
MEMORY VERSE: “The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” – Psalm 121:8
BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 31:6-7, Revelation 3:15-18 (KJV)
6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
7 For in that day every man shall cast away his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which your own hands have made unto you for a sin.
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.R
The missionary works is not for the easily discouraged nor for the faint-heart. They leave their comfort zone, that is, their homes and everything, to go out there to share the gospel of love and hope to the world. They desire more than anything. Some, if you ask them what they need, they will reply you by saying “pray for us” and you can only understand and pray for them very well continuously if you have once been on the mission field.
LESSON AIM: To admonish Christians to constantly pray for our missionaries.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Pray for all missionaries.
ii. To be able to assist all missionaries.
TEXT REVIEW: ISAIAH 31:6-7, REVELATION 3:15-18.
i. Pray for provision.
ii. Pray not to be discouraged.
TEACHING METHOD: Use interactive/ discussion method.
